The third in a series of tremors that has shaken southern Lebanon this year kept residents on edge on Saturday, but caused no significant damage.

The 3.5 magnitude quake struck just east of the city of Tyre at 7:47 a.m. local time and was felt along the Israeli border.

The Bhannes Center for Seismic and Scientific Research said it was an aftershock of the earthquake that occurred on February 12, which had a magnitude of 4.2.

An earthquake with an estimated magnitude of 5.1 struck Beirut as well as eastern and southern Lebanon on February 15, causing minor damage and sending many panicked residents into the streets.

Five people were slightly injured by that tremor in south Lebanon, according to police reports
