“We were sitting on the lounge chairs and they moved on the floor,” said Dubbo resident Arthur Healey. “Then the two yesterday, they shook the house, the windows rattled, and I think I’ve got a slight crack in the brickworks.”
The first quake struck Monday at 9:46 p.m. local time with a magnitude of 2.5.
Healey said the following two tremors occurred in quick succession about 20 seconds apart shortly after noon on Tuesday. The stronger of the two had a magnitude of 3.7.
Seismologists determined the epicenters of all of the quakes were about 20 miles (30 km) east of Dubbo.
