Sharp Quake Jolts Far Northern Chile March 28, 2008
Map of Chile
Another in a long series of earthquakes rocked northern Chile’s copper-rich Antofagasta region on Monday, but there were no reports of damage or injuries.

Chile's National Disaster Agency said the quake struck near the Bolivian border about 90 miles (140 km) east of the Chilean city of Iquique.

Miners in the region said they felt the quake at 4:39 p.m. local time.

Far northern Chile has been rocked by strong tremors almost weekly since a 7.7 magnitude earthquake killed two people and left 1,500 homeless across the region on November 14, 2007.
