

Sunday’s quake struck at 4:14 p.m. local time with a magnitude of 5.0 near Khalkhal, in Ardabil province.
The state IRNA news agency reports shaking leveled at least 30 homes to the ground and damaged about 100 others.
No human injuries or fatalities were reported, but IRNA said its correspondent in the area had received reports of injuries to livestock.
On Wednesday, a wide area of southwestern Iran was jolted by a 5.3 magnitude quake centered in an area near some of the country’s largest oil fields.
IRNA said the quake struck about 55 miles (90 km) west of the city of Dow Gonbadan, and caused no damage to homes or oil facilities.
