Late reports from the eastern Caribbean say that residents of St. Lucia and nearby islands felt a mild tremor on Wednesday, March 26, but no reports of damage or injuries were received.

The 4.1 magnitude tremor was centered beneath the Atlantic Ocean just east of the Windward Island chain, according to St. Lucia’s Emergency Management Organization.

Residents said the shaking occurred at approximately 10:30 a.m. local time, with most describing it as relatively mild.

A weaker tremor occurred near the same epicenter on March 9.
