Typhoon Nakri Intensifies over the Western Pacific May 30, 2008
The eye of Typhoon Nakri can be seen forming as the storm moved slowly northwestward over the open waters of the western Pacific Ocean on Thursday.
An area of disturbed weather between Guam and the northern Philippines gradually strengthened into Typhoon Nakri over the open waters of the western Pacific on Monday.

The storm was predicted to attain Category-4 force before slowly weakening, without affecting any significant land areas.

Nakri is the name of a flower in Cambodia, and is one of the names contributed by nations of the western Pacific to be used for designating storms each typhoon season.
