Tropical Storm Dongo Churns Indian Ocean January 16, 2008
Tropical Storm Dongo can be seen swirling in a clockwise direction at its peak intensity on January 11.
Tropical Cyclone 06S was dubbed "Dongo" on January 9 as it reached tropical storm intensity over the open waters of the central Indian Ocean.

The storm was relatively short-lived during its passage midway between Diego Garcia and the Mascarene Islands of Mauritius and Reunion.

Dongo was a threat only to shipping lanes during its less than three-day lifespan as a tropical storm.
