Weak and disorganized Cyclone Freddy can be seen swirling well off Australia's northwest coast.
Tropical Cyclone Freddy formed over the weekend of February 7-8 across the open waters of the Indian Ocean northwest of Australia.
During its brief life span, the storm remained far from shore and was a threat to only shipping lanes in the region.
Freddy never attained hurricane force during its westward course over the ocean.
The tropical storm was eventually torn apart by its passage over cooler waters between Australia and the Cocos (Keeling) Islands.
