

Iranian state television reported that the victim was an 80-year-old woman who died of internal bleeding after being taken to a hospital following the quake.
The broadcaster also said that 32 other people were injured in Lamerd and two villages in Hormuzgan province.
The head of the city’s Red Crescent said 50 to 70 percent of the residential buildings in the area sustained damage from the shaking.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake struck at 12:08 a.m. local time about 55 miles south-southwest of Lar, Iran, or about 600 miles south-southeast of Tehran.
