Quake Map of China
China’s quake-prone Sichuan province was jolted by a 5.0 magnitude quake on Sunday that left 14 people injured and hundreds of homes damaged.

The official Xinhua News Agency reports the quake rocked Ningnan county in Sichuan as well as Ziaojia county in neighboring Yunnan province at 8:53 a.m. local time.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake was centered 90 miles east-northeast of Panzhihua, Sichuan, at a depth of 20 miles.

There were no reports of any fatalities due to Sunday's seismic event.

In May 2008, a 7.9 magnitude temblor killed at least 68,000 people in Sichuan and inflicted massive structural damage that the region is still rebuilding from.

That quake was felt nearly 1,000 miles away in both Beijing and Shanghai.
