The poorly defined circulation of Malou can be seen passing just south of South Korea
Southern Korea and a wide stretch of Japan were drenched by Tropical Storm Malou.
Some communities in central Japan received nearly 20 inches of rainfall — the highest ever amount for a single storm in some places.
There were no reports of significant injuries associated with the storm. Malou later dissipated over the cool waters of the North Pacific after passing over Japan.
