Tropical Storm Sarika Triggers Deadly China Slide June 17, 2011
Tropical Storm Sarika can be seen spinning up to the northwest of Manila over the weekend.
Minimal Tropical Storm Sarika weakened to a tropical depression just before reaching China’s Fujian province.

But landslides triggered by the storm’s remnants killed seven people.

The disaster occurred in Longyan city of Fujian, where a large slide buried seven employees of China Communications Construction Company and their family members in a rental home, according to a county government official.
