Arabian Sea Cyclone 05B Skirts Eastern India December 2, 2011

Cyclone 05B can be seen gaining strength on Monday over the eastern Arabian Sea.
An area of disturbed weather swirling off the southern tip of India formed into Tropical Cyclone 05B.

The storm packed maximum sustained winds of 60 mph as it passed over the open waters of the Arabian Sea, skirting some small offshore Indian islands.

After threatening shipping lanes between India and the Arabian Peninsula, 05B lost force as it approached the coast of Oman.
