Guatemala Quake Sways Buildings in Capital

Tall buildings swayed in Guatemala City on Monday morning as a 5.5 magnitude quake struck about 40 miles to the southwest.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake struck at 11:52 a.m. local time at a depth of about 48 miles.

"It was strong, but you have to keep calm," Valentina Flores, a receptionist at a hotel in Guatemala City, told Reuters.
