The eye of Typhoon Son-Tinh can be seen just prior to making landfall in Vietnam, between Hue and Hanoi.
Powerful Typhoon Son-Tinh left a trail of damage and at least 30 people dead during several days that it lashed the central Philippines, northern Vietnam and parts of neighboring China.

The storm tore roofs off hundreds of houses and breached flood defenses as it made final landfall in northern Vietnam on Sunday, the state-run Vietnam News Agency reported.

At least 260,000 people in coastal areas had been evacuated prior to the storm’s arrival.
