Cyclone Madi Fizzles Before Reaching Southern India December 13, 2013

Cyclone Madi can be seen near its maximum intensity, swirling over the western Bay of Bengal on Sunday.
Category-1 Cyclone Madi churned the western Bay of Bengal for several days — the fourth successive cyclone to affect the region since early October.

It later made landfall as a minimal tropical storm and dissipated over far southern India.

There were no reports of significant damage or disruption due to the storm.
