Tropical Storm Faxai Drenches Parts of Japan November 2, 2007
Bands of heavy rain from Tropical Storm Faxai can be seen spreading over Japan.
An area of disturbed weather to the southeast of Japan intensified into Tropical Storm Faxai, the 20th named storm in the western Pacific typhoon season.

Heavy rain from Faxai's outer bands killed one woman in the Kanto region, near Tokyo.

The center of the storm remained well off of Japan's main Honshu Island, but drenched some of the country's outer islands with near daily record rainfall.

Faxai later lost force over the cooler waters of the North Pacific.
