Tropical Storm Guba can be seen off Australia's northeastern coast.
The first named storm of eastern Australia’s cyclone season formed from a cluster of thunderstorms swirling over the northern Coral Sea.
Tropical Storm Guba made a slow loop over open waters between Papua New Guinea and Australia’s Cape York Peninsula.
It posed a threat of landfall on the peninsula during the following week.
